Our starting-point for
animal rights is freedom.
Freedom itself is a virtual goal. Absolute freedom
is barely attractive, but everybody wants to be
free, everyone knows that freedom exists and what
is opposite to freedom. In the case of animals the
lack of space to move, the impossibility to perform
natural behavior, the absence of stimulation for
months certainly isn't freedom, but is sheer abuse. |
