Since 2002 Animal Freedom has covered hundreds of topics. We distinguish between information and opinion. Our opinion is that animals have fundamental rights. In our information we show where those rights are violated.

In the European Union some extreme abuses are banned, such as the barren battery cage and the veal crate. Yet animals in intensive farming still live in far too little space. A handful of companies earn a lot of money from it, mainly through export. But once you subtract the damage to health, nature and climate, livestock farming as a whole does not contribute to the economy. On the contrary: it costs society money. Rules are slowly becoming stricter, but the way people look at animals changes even more slowly.
